[I enjoyed opener Slowlands too much to discuss them here-dedicated post to come.] After my conversation with The Diggs, I felt compelled to see whether their live show was as good as advertised-and lead man Tim Lannen backed his words with moments of goose bump inducing emotion. The band struggled to find their groove through the set's first few songs, but these moments fell out of view from the heights of the anthemic "Everyone's Starting Over." Anchored by the steamrolling drumming of Charlie Schmid (battling a nasty cold but sounding none the worse for it), The Diggs overcame technical issues and some sloppy playing and demonstrated that, even on an uneven night, they were capable of undeniable greatness. A set with the UK's Amusement Parks On Fire is on the horizon. I recommend.

I saw them play at the underrated magazine party a few months back and came out slightly less impressed than expected. i still thought they were quality but somehow it's really the It's Just Like You Say song that i am dying to hear and the rest is still really nice but not as good as that one song. when they play that song I jump up and down

I hear you Wes--I think they have something special, but I only caught a glimpse that night. I'm willing to give them another chance though. "It's Just Like You Say" is amazing, however that night it didn't really work (neither did another standout, "Trouble Everyday"). I think they could break though, Tim's voice is incredible. Their full length is good (and is getting heavy rotation at WOXY). Cheers.
