Los Angelians Silversun Pickups battled a horrible house PA at Spiro's, and came out on top. The band's songs take a familiar formula -- subtle, hushed and melodic verses and screamed, textured choruses -- and brand it with a Brian Aubert's unmistakable vocal presence.
